Soft and warm...

Today Ida and I want to share our passion for cashmere. It's actually kind of wierd that something like a scarf can be luxurious, and some may think cashmere is overprized. Maybe it is, but a really nice cashmere scarf makes your wool coat from H&M look expensive. That's what I call well spent money!
By the way... do you like it when I post drawings? This one is a drawing of Ida in her beige coat and Paul & Jo cashmere scarf. If you like the drawings I have more on storage..

Paris Je t'aime!

I have unfortunately only been to Paris once... And I am longing back! The light in Paris, the colors... everything is just beautiful!

This movie is the most wonderful thing ever made...and the perfume smells soo good!
My uncle is moving to Paris for a month in February with his art school, and my cusin are going to live in Paris for four months this spring. If I am jealouse? You bet I am... If I ever go there again (and thats just a matter of time)I am going to bring this Moleskin City Guide .
I would eat croissants every morning wearing lace, pearls and red nailvarnish...

and by lunch-time I would have drinks with my cute little dog...

and the rest of the day I would spend shopping, walking in the park and writing a novel. I would stay out into the early hours, flirting and dancing and live a truly bohemian life.

Shopping for the perfect gift...

It's always a great feeling giving away the perfect gift. To find something personal and beautiful for another person can be even more satisfying than finding something for yourself. I love that feeling. Finding the perfect gift, on the other hand, is not that satisfying... Aching legs, freezing hands and not a gift in sight. That's one of the rare occasions when I hate shopping.

Yesterday we celebrated hannah's birthday, and although we were all tired after a busy week, we had a very good time. This week is going to be great because we have less to do at school, and we all have time to get into the christmas spirit. We forgot to take pictures yesterday, so instead we have got these picures we took for a few days ago. Open Academy

Thursday and yesterday the Art Academy of Fine Art in Oslo opened their studios. It was a very interesting exhibition, and my little sis thought it was much more fun than the Munch. I thought it was very inspiring, and I loved that it was so much different. It was videos, dead birds, paintings, fotos, strange rooms you could walk into and sculptures. The drawing above was one of my favorites. It is made by Andreas Bennin.
What I really liked about this exhibition was that you really felt the connection to the artists. Not only because the art was very personal, but also because they were all hanging out drinking beer on shabby couches. They were all ultra cool, and I still regret that I didn't take some pictures of them...

When I saw this I actually thought that the person in the corner was alive...

This one was very cozy. You had to take of your shoes, and it was like walking into a belly. I almost felt like a fetus again.

I am 17! Hurra!

Today is my birthday!!! I woke up to a white cream cake and roses and my family singing me a birthday song! I ate cake and drank warm chocolate in bed. It has been a great morning, but unfortunately I am ill. A horrible headache have terrorized me all night and I have almost lost my voice. Isn’t that typical? Off course I had to get ill on my birthday… But anyway, I got some lovely pearl earrings, an ipod, the Sex and the City movie and about four lip glosses. So today I am just going to stay at home and watch Sex and the City. Grandma and grandpa arrived from the Grand Canarias this morning, so I will celebrate with them later… Hope you have a wonderful day! Happy birthday to me!

We have a header! We have a header!
What do you think? We have thought of getting one since we started, and I have been like "Ida? Don't we need a header?" and we have thought of everything from a picture of the two of us, or big letters with Ida and I sitting on top of the letters... But then I found this book with lots of old drawings, and I got a bit inspired and drew this idea, and we both loved it. Do you remember Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's smoking from that long stick-thing? That's the smoking inspiration. So, what do you guys think?
